Hi
everyone,
Here
I am again !
Last
time I wrote, I was going to move to the Lilypad, and you, readers,
were even more excited than I was ! It's now been three days and
I still can't realize I live there.
In
fact it doesn't look like anything you've ever seen . It feels
like I've travelled to the future !! Glass everywhere makes it
unreal, like if we lived in a giant bubble. We don't have a big
apartment but it's really cozy and you should see how it feels to
eat, sleep... live in front of the sea.
I
now go to the Lilypad's school from 8am to 4pm because we live with
the sunlight so that we rarely use electricity. You, guys, want fun
facts ? As the Lilypad is designed to be self sufficient,
we are all forbidden to use more than a quotas of energy per day.
And when we reached it, our apartment's lights turn off. And you know
what ? That's a really good pretext for not having done your
homework !! At school, we study maths, physics, biology,
english.. just like you but with a slightly different point of view.
Every subject we study relates to ecology whereas we never even
talked about it in Lyon. After school, I can go everywhere in the
city. There is here everything you need : cinema, shops,
restaurants... But you can't obviously find as many shops as in Lyon
. I wish I had gone shopping more often when I lived there... I then
go home where I can watch TV, read a book... On the whole, it's a
typical teenager's life.
On
the one hand it's really exciting to be part of all this but on the
other hand I already truly miss my friends... We can't frequently go
out of the Lilypad because it's expensive and it pollutes. It
wouldn't make any sense to go to this ecocity if we travelled by boat
every day. This makes me feel highly isolated and it's only been 3
days...
